Summary
This is a 12 days/11 nights safari that is a combination of wildlife, nature, culture, bird watching, boating and fishing and Mt. Climbing. This safari is ideal for individuals, couples, small and large groups. It is a road safari in our great 4x4 land cruiser with enough space to enable you enjoys your safari.
This safari will take you to Nakuruthe home of Flamingoes for 1 night, the famous masai Mara known for the wildebeest migration and the masai community for 2 nights, then cross to the lake city of Kisumu home to Lake Victoria for 2 nights, thenproceed to the Kakamega forest where you will plant a tree and enjoy the luhyia traditional dance for 1 night and finally to Mt. Elgon for Mountain climbing taking 5 nights then fly back to Nairobi through Kitale Air strip for your flight back home.
You will be met by our representative either at the airport or at your hotel and depart to Nakuru with a short stop over at the Great Rift Valley view point.
You are expected to arrive in good time to check in and for Lunch. After lunch, you will take an afternoon game drive to show you the best that the park can offer including the Lake Nakuru.
After breakfast, you will embark on your tour van for a safari to the famous MasaiMara via maimahiu. You are expected to arrive in good tie for lunch then have the rest of the afternoon at leisure enjoying the facilities offered by the lodge.
In the evening, you will take an evening game drive in the park. You will be expected in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.
On this day, after breakfast, you will take a visit to the masai village to interact and learn about the masai culture, return back to the lodge for early lunch then depart for a game drive to enable you explore more of the mara. You are expected back in the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
This day, after breakfast, you depart the mara to the lake side city of Kisumu. You will arrive in good time for lunch and later in the afternoon take a visit to Lake Victoria and other attractions around.
You will be back to the hotel in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.
After breakfast, you will take a Kisumu city tour that will take you to the Lake Victoria where you can participate in fishing and continue to enjoy other attractions and activities in the city.
You will enjoy lunch at a city hotel then continue with your tour but be back to the hotel in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.
DINNER AND OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL
Today after enjoying your breakfast, you will depart Kisumu city for a 50 km drive to the neighboring Kakamega County who hosts the Kakamega forest the only tropical rain forest in Kenya that used to stretch from West Africa to East Africa in Western Kenya.The forest is very unique with a lot of wildlife and yet you can explore on foot, hiking watching birds, butterflies, very old massive rain forest trees, massive strangler fic trees and primates.
When you arrive, you will take a game drive within the park as you plant a tree and return to the lodge in good time for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the Luhyia village for traditional dance (Isukuti dance), Shiriri dance,Matombole dance, Indevendeve dance and Luhyia culture talk.
You are expected back to the lodge in good time for dinner and then have an entertainment evening with entertainment from traditional Luyhia dance known as Isukuti.

On this day, you will take an early breakfast then embark on your tour van for a safari to Mt Elgon National park that is about 100kms away. Along the way you will enjoy the scenery including the “crying stone”. Upon arrival at the Chorlim gate, the check-in formalities will be done then proceed to pitch our tents at Kapkuro Campsite.

After breakfast, we start the hike following the road that coils all the way to the base of Roadhead camp. We will be trekking through the dense forest with diverse indigenous trees. Have a picnic lunch at Endebess Bluff. The trekking from the gate normally takes about 6 hours and we will arrive at the camp in the afternoon.

After breakfast, we start the trek to Roadhead Camp(3,300mts). We will begin to exit the rain forest and welcomee the moorland vegetation. Have a picnic lunch en-route. The trekking to Road head normally takes 4-5 hours.

Wake up early, 04:00hrs, and have some hot coffee or chocolate and biscuits. Start the pre- dawn attempt to the summit. At about 4,000 mts, we will have a steep walk to the summit Koitobos Peak (4,120mts). Have an opportunity to see the sunrise. After taking photos we descend down to Roadhead camp for lunch.

After breakfast and check out from the camp, we start descending the mountain through the thick forest enjoying the morning sunshine. You will also take a visit to Kitum Caves the largest cave in Africa.
You will then are transferred to Mt. Elgon Lodge for lunch and later for have the rest of the day at leisure. Later take your dinner and have the evening at leisure as you prepare for your trip to Nairobi.

You will take an early breakfast then be transferred to the air strip for your flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi and be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi or to Jomo Kenyatta for Airport for your flight back home.
