This is a9 days/8nightssafari that begins and ends in Nairobi. The safari takes you to the central Kenya where you will visit the Aberdares National Park and enjoy 1 night in a tree hotel, then to the Great Rift Valley where you get to see most of the Rift valley lakes. The lakes to be visited are Lake Baringo for 1 night, Lake Bogoria for 1 night, Lake Nakuru 1 night, Masai Mara 3 nights and finally Lake Naivasha for 1 night.

This safari is ideal for individuals, couples, small groups and large groups but not good for families with children because of the tree hotel.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi-Aberdare National Park

You will be met by our representative and our tour driver will pick you and you embark on your trip to the Abardare National Park. Your trip will be through the industrial town of Thika and the intensely cultivated farms of the central Kenya, through lush tea and coffee estates to the base hotels. Lunch will be served at the base Hotels. After lunch you will be transferred to the tree hotel.

The tree hotels are nestled in the foothills between Aberdare and Mount Kenya National Park, the tree hotels are famous for high perches and balconies, overlooking a salt lick and waterhole. Boasting a remarkable record of wildlife sightings from their floodlit waterhole's and salt licks, here we will enjoy the finest in high-altitude game viewing.

Enjoy your afternoon in the tree hotel as you watch animals as they come to the waterhole to drink and to lick salt at the salt lick.

Day 2: Aberdare National Park - Lake Baringo

You will enjoy your breakfast at this tree hotel and later embark into your tour van and drive for about 4 hrs through the Nyeri-Nyahururu road to Lake Baringo. You will arrive and be transferred by boat to the Island and arrive in good time for lunch.

You will have the afternoon at leisure as you enjoy the facility offered at the island camp and the beautiful scenery surrounding the lake and the island.

Day 3: LakeBaringo-Lake Bogoria

After Breakfast you will be transferred by boat where you will meet your driver guide and take another drive to enjoy the scenery and see the lake once again as you proceed to Lake Bogoria.

Lake Bogoria is a shallow soda lake set amidst beautiful scenery. Like the other Kenyan soda lakes, it has no outlet and the intense evaporation leads to high levels of salt and minerals, which flamingos love and from a distance the surface of the water appears bright pink. Next to the lake are steaming hot springs and geysers, but don't be tempted to put your hands into the water if you are at all fond of your skin! The vapor from the hot springs is believed to be medicinal. You can carry a raw egg and boil it at the hot springs and eat.

You are expected at the lodge in good time to check in and have lunch. You will then take a drive to the lake as you enjoy the scenery, bird watching and animals that are within.

You are expected back to the lodge to enjoy the facilities of the lodge like the naturally heated swimming pool at the lodge, You will then have dinner and have the rest on the evening at the leisure.

Day 4: Lake Bogoria - Lake Nakuru National park

After breakfast you will do game viewingenroute as you drive down exploring the dramatic Rift valley to yet another Riftvalley lake and this is to Lake Nakuru National Park. You are expected to arrive in time to check in and have lunch.

Lake Nakuru is one of the gem in the Rift Valley Lakes often referred as the Pink Lake for its great masses of pink flamingos. It is an opportunity to see millions of flamingos besides thousands of other birds. Lake Nakuru is also a Rhino Sanctuary and harbors other wild-game like the Lion, Waterbucks, Buffalo, Warthog, and Hippo among others.

You will then take an afternoon game drive that will reveal to you the best of Lake Nakuru National park. You are expected back in the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure enjoying the facility at the lodge or entertainment offered by the lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara.

After breakfast you will depart and start your journey to the famous Maasai Mara Game reserve. You are expected to arrive in good time to check in and have lunch.

You will then take a late afternoon game drive that will give you a hint of what the Masai Mara is. Return to the lodge in good time for dinner then have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve

This day, you will take a full day exploring the park in search of the Big 5 and other wild game .Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost.

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.

Day 7: Masai Mara

This day, you have a choice of an early morning game drive and return in the lodge in good time for dinner or take a balloon safari that ends up with a bush breakfast. Have the morning at leisure and later take an evening game drive and be back in the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 8: Masai Mara-Lake Naivasha.

On this day, you will depart after breakfast and head to Lake Naivasha another Rift Valley Lake. Lake Naivasha, unlike the other Rift Valley lakes is a fresh water lake and this is because it has an underground outlet. You will head to Hells Gate National Park for an adventure and later to the hotel for check in and lunch.

Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to the shores of Lake Naivasha for a 1 hour boat ride as you enjoy the scenery. You will then be back to the lodge in good time for dinner and have the rest of the evening at leisure enjoying the facility at the lodge.

Day 9: Naivasha-Nairobi.

After your breakfast, you will embark on your tour van for yet another ride back to Nairobi. You are expected to arrive in good time for a transfer to the airport for your international flight back home.
