One particularly fascinating aspect of their social behavior is the possibility that they may use unique sounds, or &#8220;<em>names<\/em>&#8221; to identify each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elephants use a variety of vocalizations, including rumbles, trumpets, and roars, to communicate. Low-frequency rumbles can travel long distances and are used for communication between individuals over several kilometers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/live-news\/20240611-elephants-call-each-other-by-name-study-finds\">France 24<\/a> news report aired in June 2024, Kendirita Tours learned of a study indicating that elephants may be the only non-human animals to exhibit this complex behavior.
